Introducing 
Rocket Tutoring

I'm Sarah... a qualified, experienced and passionate teacher. I believe that every child has the right to a fulfilling education and I love to see them realise their capabilities.

I have taught pupils across the primary age range for many years. My most recent roles have included Key Stage One Leader, SENCo and Assistant Head in an outstanding primary school. 

In March 2020, with a 6 month old baby, and a lively 6 year old, we find ourselves in ‘lockdown.’ During this time, I can see a huge amount of online resources being shared and some slightly overwhelmed parents. 

I now tutor my own child every day. Using my teaching skills and experience, I assess the work that he is producing, identify gaps and our next steps in learning. This has formed a basis for wonderful progress. 

It has occurred to me that I have a model that can be shared with other families.  Careful assessment, some targeted online teaching and a few follow up tasks can help make the minefield of home learning easier to navigate.
